Ariel Community, a startup with a clear mission of bridging the gap between people with disability and Australian businesses, is taking positive strides in its journey towards inclusivity and improvement. In a recent series of open-invite focus groups held at the I2N at The University of Newcastle on October 12th, 2023, the organisation not only showcased its commitment to inclusivity but also sought valuable feedback on how to enhance its products, services, and overall inclusivity within the Hunter Region.

Ariel Community firmly believes that inclusivity goes hand-in-hand with progress and innovation. Recognising that they cannot achieve their mission in isolation, they opened their doors to the community for a candid dialogue. The three sessions held on October 12th were an effort to create an inclusive environment where people with disability, carers, support workers, service providers, and local businesses could voice their opinions and contribute to the organisation's growth.

The primary objective of these focus groups was twofold. Firstly, they aimed to gather feedback from a diverse array of perspectives to understand how Ariel Community could better serve its community. Secondly, they sought to establish collaborative strategies that would enhance disability inclusion in the Hunter Region comprehensively.

The sessions were marked by open and engaging discussions, where participants freely shared their thoughts, concerns, and innovative ideas. Ariel Community recognised that real progress could only be made when every voice was heard and valued, and these sessions served as a testament to this philosophy.

In addition to seeking feedback on their services and operations, Ariel Community was keen on understanding how to improve its products and offerings to better cater to the needs of the community. This proactive approach demonstrates their dedication to continuous improvement and responsiveness to the evolving needs of their stakeholders.

Ariel Community expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in these crucial conversations. They emphasised that the collective impact of such collaborative efforts is the driving force behind creating a more inclusive future for all. Ariel Community acknowledges that building a more inclusive society is an ongoing journey, and it can only be achieved when all members of the community actively engage in the process.

As Ariel Community remains steadfast in its commitment to inclusivity and improvement, the Hunter Region can look forward to a future where opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of their abilities. In the words of Ariel Community, "Together, we are creating a more inclusive future for all," and they are determined to make that future brighter for everyone in the Hunter Region and beyond.
